Key Features of the Program:

The main aim of this programme is to prepare teachers, teacher educators, material developers, researchers in the field of mathematics education. Specifically, the prospective teachers will be able to:

  • follow the latest principles and methodology in mathematics teaching
  • undertake small scale research to improve their own pedagogical skill
  • design and deliver a short term teacher development packages for mathematics teachers
  • develop appropriate mathematics curricula, textbooks, modules and projected and non-projected materials.
  • educate preservice and inservice teachers for effective teaching of mathematics
  • carry out several activities to promote the importance of mathematics education
